Kara O’Brien was born and raised Colorado, USA. She gained a double-major in Vocal Performance and Music Business from the University of Colorado at Denver, and then moved to Limerick, Ireland in 2016. She attended the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy, where she gained an MA in Traditional Irish Music Performance (Song), and a Ph.D. in Traditional Song and History. Kara is a singer, scholar, and writer. Kara is the CEO of Pathfinder Artist Development and contributes regularly to the Journal of Music. She now lives in Kilkenny, Ireland.
